Review: Lush - Lemony Flutter - Cuticle Butter :)

Hello! Let's start new week with a juicy fresh product!  :) I believe this is first time ever I am reviewing a Lush product on my blog! And it really was past time I talked about my currently favourite product for hands :P I have received this gorgeous little black pot of pure awesomeness called Lemony Flutter as a birthday gift and I haven't started using it right away, but when I did I fell in love with it!

What does the product promise?Perfect for softening our hardest bits: knees, elbows, heels, brittle nails and cuticles finally get the attention they deserve. Lemony Flutter revives a traditional method of cream-making that even the Romans would recognise. A little goes a long way, and within just a few applications, those neglected areas will be rejuvenated and smelling delicious, just like lemon curd.

I am using this butter more as a hand cream product and sometimes for any other parts of my body (usually legs) where I feel my skin really needs and extra kick to get hydrated again. I am saving this product mostly just for hands and cuticles, as I find it pretty expensive for 50g, the price in Slovenian stores is 9,95 euros. You can read more info about ingredients here, on their english website.

I have heard many great comments and raves about this product, so of course, it had to go on my wishlist! And lucky me, I have received it as a  birthday gift :P Otherwise I would probably purchase it, but probably not yet, as I have a stash of hand creams and such products and I would feel like wasting products I already have and more money. I have received this one in January and I have actually started using this one about a month ago and I must say I fell in love with it. Especially with the scent! It has the most amazing lemony scent ever, kinda like lemon sorbet and spring/summer feels like the perfect time for such light, refreshing scents.

What I really like about it is that you need a tiny amount for your hands, especially cuticles, it really is such a great product that will last you a long time. Except if you are using this all over your body, than you might find yourself using up this tiny jar very fast. If you will be only using this product for your cuticles this will last you for ages!

The consistency of this butter is well, like butter. It's really easy to melt it and rub it in, it's a butter but it's not too greasy at all. I know many would expect a butter to be greasy and all over the place, but this really sinks in fast! It does leave a nice, protective coating after and your hands feel really smooth.

Just a little warning about the scent - I have read many comments and even my boyfriend commented that this smells, well like lemons, like citronella, but not in a good way. To me this smells amazingly, but I do notice the difference in scent once the product is well rubbed in. Then it turns into a bit more bitter scent, not fresh and creamy lemon you get to whiff out of the pot. Still, I really love the scent overall, but many commented this smelled a bit off to them and even reminded them of baby creams or motor oil.. so I guess you should really try getting your hands on a sample first before purchasing :)

As for what it does to my hands? I have noticed that with regular use my hands are softer, my nails are stronger and are growing faster. But most of all I have noticed how well this worked for my cuticles, they really look much better, more nourished, hydrated. My cuticles are not as dry and chappy as they were before and I believe no other hand cream helped me with my cuticles as much as this product did :)

I hope this review was helpful to you and thanks for reading!

Love, UniqaPoly
